Vintage Bodenschatz Clutch

As you know since this post, I am a big fan of flea markets. This weekend, some friends and I went to the Feuersee flea market in Stuttgart where I found this beautiful Bodenschatz Clutch. It is bigger than regular clutches – maybe even a little too big, I have to admit – but who could resist buinyg a gigantic clutch, right? 🙂

Wie ihr seid diesem Post wisst, bin ich ein großer Flohmarktfan. Dieses Wochenende bin ich zusammen mit ein paar Freunden zum Feuersee Flohmarkt in Stuttgart gegangen und habe diese tolle Bodenschatz Clutch gefunden. Sie ist ein wenig größer als andere Clutches – vielleicht sogar ein bisschen zu groß, wenn ich ehrlich bin – aber wer kann schon einer übergroßen Clutch widerstehen, ne? 🙂

A perfect day in London…

I spent last weekend in London. I couldn’t have been more excited to be back in the UK to celebrate Easter since two years ago I was in Bournemouth during that time of year (you can see more pictures here). As there are so many things you can do in London, let me tell you how I like to spend a perfect day in this amazing city:

1. Always start with a good breakfast, e.g. scrambled eggs and fresh orange juice in a cosy little café like the good old Aldgate Coffee House.
1. Starte den Tag mit einem guten Frühstück, zum Beispiel mit Rührei und frischgepresstem Orangensaft in einem kleinen, gemütlichen Café, wie dem guten alten Aldgate Coffee House.

2. Walk through the streets of London, always looking for something new to explore.

3. Go and visit one of London’s many vintage stores and find yourself a bracelet to remember your trip.
3. Stöbere durch einen von Londons vielen Vintage Shops und finde ein Armband, das dich noch ewig an deine Reise erinnern wird.

4. Head over to Camden Market for lunch. Here you’ll find anything you are looking for.

5. Have a pint of cidre in a cool London pub, like The Crown And Shuttle in Shoreditch.

6. Have another pint of cidre and dinner in a traditional London pub, like The Porterhouse near Covent Garden.

7. Go out dancing with some friends as long as your feet hurt. Maybe to a bar/club called Apple&Pears in Aldgate.
7. Gehe tanzen mit Freunden – so lange, bis deine Füße wehtun. Vielleicht in eine Bar/einen Club namens Apple&Pears in Aldgate

8. Go to sleep and be happy.
8. Gehe schlafen und sei glücklich.

I never wanted to be a princess. When kindergarden-friends were dying to wear pink and glittery dresses during carneval, I wanted to dress up as a cowboy, pirat or smurf. But if you visit one of Germany’s countless fairytale castles, you start to understand what young girls find fascinating about being a princess:

Something I haven’t done in a while (besides from blogging – sorry!) is spending the whole sunday afternoon with a friend in a cute little café. Since I, however, visited Berlin for a week and saw all the cosy’n’cool coffee places there, I remembered how much fun it is and decided that it was time to go back out there to cupcakes, cappuccinos and lattes.

ellisue Bracelet – From The Pop-Up Mall ‘Fluxus’ in Stuttgart

Since last weekend, Stuttgart has one shopping-opportunity more – and a real cool one as well: The so called “Temporary Concept Mall” Fluxus is going to stay at the Calwerpassage for three months. Sure, many were sceptical to have another shopping hot-spot in town after the recently opened super malls ‘Milaneo’ and ‘Gerber’. But I really like the concept of Fluxus!

Yesterday at a friend’s birthday brunch, we observed a beautiful natural spectacle: The sky was drenched in colours and showed little rainbow spots everywhere. A magical start to the weekend 🙂
